Toddler Program
Active, play-based learning for curious children from 19 to 30 months.
Learning Through Movement, Language, and Play
Toddlers are developing new words, physical skills, preferences, friendships, and a growing desire to do things independently. Our toddler child care program gives children time and space to explore while educators provide clear routines, encouragement, and responsive guidance.
Daily activities are planned around children’s interests and developmental needs. The room includes opportunities for sensory play, art, music, stories, building, pretend play, movement, and quiet discovery.
Supporting Toddler Development
Young toddlers learn by repeating actions, testing ideas, watching others, and participating in familiar routines. Educators help children express needs, practise new skills, manage strong feelings, and become comfortable playing alongside other children.
Stories, songs, conversation, picture books, and naming everyday objects help expand vocabulary and understanding.
Children practise simple choices, handwashing, tidying, eating routines, and other age-appropriate self-help skills.
Educators model sharing, turn-taking, gentle interaction, and simple ways to express feelings and solve conflicts.
Paint, dough, water, sand, music, movement, and open-ended materials support creativity and discovery.
Climbing, pushing, carrying, stacking, drawing, sorting, and active play build coordination and confidence.
Regular outdoor experiences support physical activity, observation, exploration, and enjoyment of nature.
A Predictable Daily Routine
A familiar rhythm helps toddlers understand what comes next and feel secure throughout the day. Their schedule includes active play, quieter activities, meals and snacks, outdoor time, group experiences, and rest. Educators remain flexible when individual children need extra time, comfort, or support.
Families receive updates about eating, sleeping, toileting or diapering, activities, and progress. This partnership helps children experience consistent support between home and child care.
Healthy Meals and Everyday Learning
Mealtimes are also opportunities to practise communication, independence, and social routines. Visit our child care menu to learn about meals and snacks, or read about our approach to early learning.
