Licensed Infant Care That Follows Each Child’s Routine

Birth – 18 Months

Babies develop through close relationships, familiar routines, movement, and everyday discovery. Our infant child care program provides individual attention in a safe environment where each child can feel comfortable, secure, and ready to explore.

Feeding, sleeping, diapering, and play are planned around each baby’s needs as much as possible. Educators communicate closely with families so routines at the centre remain familiar and responsive.

How Babies Learn During the Day

Infant learning happens through warm interactions and simple experiences repeated throughout the day. Educators talk, sing, read, respond to sounds and gestures, and give babies time to move and investigate safe materials at their own pace.

Responsive Daily Care

Gentle caregiving routines help babies develop trust, comfort, and secure relationships with their educators.

Sensory Exploration

Age-appropriate textures, sounds, colours, mirrors, water play, and natural materials encourage curiosity.

Movement and Physical Development

Floor time, reaching, rolling, crawling, grasping, and supported movement help build coordination and strength.

Early Language

Conversation, songs, books, facial expressions, and responsive interaction support early communication.

Outdoor Experiences

Weather permitting, babies spend time outdoors enjoying fresh air and observing the world around them.

Family Communication

Families receive daily information about meals, bottles, sleep, diapering, activities, and meaningful moments.

A Comfortable Transition into Child Care

Starting infant care is a major change for both babies and families. We take time to learn about each child’s routines, preferences, comforting methods, and communication cues. A gradual and respectful transition helps babies form relationships with educators and become familiar with the room.

Families are encouraged to share important updates and ask questions. Consistent communication helps us support each baby’s development and daily well-being.

Meals, Rest, and Daily Routines

Infant routines change quickly as babies grow. Educators work with families to follow current feeding and sleep information while maintaining safe care practices. Learn more about the centre’s meals and snacks and our play-based learning philosophy.
